A few of us had a little bit of fun with some numbers in Dune's 'The Giza Plan, further findings', and rather than intrude on his topic with this - and whatever extensions we may get - I thought a topic on its own should occur.
For those interested in the beginnings of it, please see the run of some of the posts here
As pointed out by members, some of the observations were made in topics or posts in previous years, and they extend to other areas of great number-play and what results from that, especially concerning different measuring scales. It would appear that we may be able to identify a basis for such things that have come down to us as measures from ancient times...but I guess a little bit more investigation might solidify or deny this. Of course, a bit of sifting through topics and posts by other members over the years could show even more observations that might just be recreated here.
I encourage anyone with some info or insight to join in, but I would hope that we just keep to the basics...there is not much point in showing several convoluted formulas to arrive at an answer just because of number-crunching to get a specific answer. Better to have simple arithmetic operations in the beginning, don't you think?
To begin, it starts with the number of beams from the upper/King chamber upwards: 43 in total, comprising five layers of 9, 8, 9, 9 and 8 beams. 43 could be represented in ancient Egyptian culture as Osiris and the 42 Neters that judge the spirit of the Pharaoh as he makes his way through the underworld to reside in the heavens with the gods. If this is so, then numbers in rites and rituals have a deeper meaning than just being the amount of things...they could be found in the very constructions and cultures of the past.
Simple multiplication first:
9x8x9x9x8 = 46,656
4x6x6x5x6 = 4,320
4x3x2 = 24
2x4 = 8
And finally, 9x8x9x9x8x4x6x6x5x6x4x3x2x2x4x8 = 309,586,821,120
46,656 is first and foremost 66. Other figures can be found from it, as we played with in Dune's topic, but it would seem that we were just touching the surface. Jacob pointed out that 46,656 x 42 = 1,959,552 which, when several zeroes are added, becomes the Nineveh Constant which Michael and others had something to say about here . It would appear that the figure, which is 70 x 607 is quite astounding both as a number unto itself and its properties, and being used for ancient astronomy and celestial body motions. Hmmm: they had a calendar showing calculations and motions for several million years? Sheesh!
The NC as a time length is 240 periods of Precession of the Equinoxes, with a PoE of 25,920 years. For 46,656 and an original number of 9, and there being 5 layers, it is simple to arrive at 25,920:
46,656 / 9 x 5
PoE can also be had from:
(4x6x6x5x6) x6
We certainly know 6 is an important number in ancient cultures, especially when it comes to 60 and the lengths of time and parts of the circle. This might extend to their being an instrumental 12 houses around the ecliptic in which the sun presides in determining equinoctial motions: 2,160 years for each house.
I guess this is a good start, and might just leave it here for the moment.
Cheers
