In the March/April issue of National Geographic's "History" magazine there is an article about the Garden of Eden. I flipped through the mag looking for Gobekli Tepi, but it was mostly about Babylon and Sumer. On page 25, it shows what it calls a Babylonian "weight" The weight has a striking resemblance to what Graham calls a "Man bag." Statues of the "Fish God" in both Gobekli Tepi and South America show the god carrying both a "man bag" and a cone or seed pod. Could this symbolize the god bringing two of the pillars of civil society; Agriculture and the Law? On the main pillar at Gobekli Tepi there are three of these weights or man bags along with what is supposed to be a map of constellations. Could this have been some kind of court where disputes were settled and justice meted out, based on the position of the stars? Even today, People look to the stars to determine their fate and justice is symbolized by a scale, requiring some type of weight.
