For simplicity let us refer to the so called Tolima Jets as the Golden Flyers or simply GF.
I believe this subject more correctly belongs in any discussion of Man's ancient technological achievements rather than anything related to Ancient 'Alien' Astronauts.
Those who would attempt to debunk the GF as being merely representations of fish or insects have failed to examine the features of the one artifact most often brought under scrutiny in any such discussion.
This:
While much mystery surrounds the source from which these models were crafted, there can in fact be no reasonable doubt that they/it is an aircraft, and that it does exhibit highly advanced features of STOL (short Take Off and Landing).
First let us examine what these models do not exhibit.
Throughout history, and in every case, we see those who wish to represent a fish will include one at least of the following characteristics;
A Dorsal fin.
A Caudal fin. (Tail fin extending both above and below the center line of it's body)
Scales.
Neither this model, nor any of the other 20 or so such models have any of these three things. None!
It is said these models were discovered early in the last century, and yet having no true characteristics of fish, nearly all display every characteristic of modern aircraft, and some display highly advanced features only just being properly understood as this is written. The leading edge vortex like curlicues that have been demonstrated to produce extreme lift in a similar/like configuration(On pictured model's wings) In what may be a very poor design in comparison, they are now found on most airliners in the form of slot/slats utilized for high lift functions on landings and take-offs.
One more little detail to dissect.
Again, on the leading edge curlicues.
When I travel by jet airliner, and all the big ones I've been on have them, the leading edge slats deploy out 'Forward and Down'on take-off and landings.
This designed configuration is apparently the most desirable to produce the best 'Lift'.
As seen here on GF
Now close examination of the GF's leading edge curlicues seem to actually show them configured in the same manner 'Out, Forward and Down.
From the wing root at the fuselage, the very first curlicue seems to drop below the leading edge of the wing. Each subsequent curlicue also seems to drop down until the last curlicue at the wing tip which appears to be flush with the wing proper.
Just one more reason to establish the little flyer as exactly what it appears to be.
It is a model of an ancient Warbird.
How it came into the possession of the Tolima..........quite another question altogether?
It's existence, and relation to off world anomalies is profound in implication.
Perhaps one of, if not the most important link we have to ancient history.
While one notable set of objects on the model most often discussed are rather large hook like features on the Horizontal stabilizers/elevators just forward of the Vertical stabilizer (Tail fin), are not yet recognized as to function, one might reasonably argue that at the time of discovery, the leading edge vortex features were not understood either. Their function is now understood and found everywhere in general aviation, even if currently in a rather inferior form.
This model was reproduced by Dave Herbert, one of the leading modelers in North America.
While I do not agree with Mr Herbert's philosophic preamble to his flight test, the crude model he put together
is astonishing in what is learned.

Is this evidence for all that is presumed to be imaged on other planetary bodies in the Solar System?
Whoever produced and understood the function of these models....were only a step away.
