This illustrates how simple it is to cut holes in Granite stone. Two man operation. As there are levers involved, it would be less work than a bow. The upper stone weight is greased inside. I left it floating and not attached, as it is a clearer picture for understanding. Corundum is 9 on Mohs harness scale. Granite is only 7.
The weight has a funnel, with a hole down through the spindle. This helps in adding water and abrasives.
