Ok I'm posting a few photos of a metal artifact that I found close to the Manukau Harbour in Auckland, New Zealand. I have found, just a ridiculous amount of stuff in the last few months, none of it appears maori. That is to say the people who've made these things I'm finding are likely all contributors to the maori gene pool but these pieces I believe predate the dominant Polynesian component. Officially maori are exclusively Polynesian and discovered new Zealand around 1250ad. Exclusively stone age technologically, they did not use metals. This piece is shaped like the upper north island. On it, you can still faintly see the designs painted. Please look for yourself but In its original form the photo displays a guy who looks like pacal in the lower right corner. With a bit of color and contrast manipulation the other designs which include a jaguar (not easy to see but worth the time) new Zealandis famous for not having been inhabited by predatory mammals but I see this jaguar often. The guys earing is visible including the design on it and there's another crazy looking figure who has wgat look like the raps uni alphabet characters which famously are linked to the alphabet of the Indus valley civilization.
The metal itself is rusted but sturdy. As with other metal pieces I've found there appears to be spots that could reflect a hammering process. So obviously iron but possibly other stuff. I would appreciate your thoughts
