They resemble the Moai, with the hands at the navel . . . Organic, sustainable passage through time in the time honored way of the human species ... they all have navels.

We have manta rays, they are essentially flattened. And we have a species of fish which goes flat as it grows, and it's second eye migrates around its body to be with the first eye, on the top side.
