I have used the search tool, and cannot find a relevant OP, and don't want to distort another thread.
I am no AE expert, but plenty of you are.
I was reading how the line of Pyramids goes along into present day Kenya, on the West Bank of the Nile. The significance of the West compass point is known, where the Sun dies before rebirth to the AE.

However the Nubian Pyramids WERE tombs

Was this idea somehow brought into Egypt by them, and then gradually lost and the Pyramids took up another use.
This may sound completely back to front as the Nubian pyramids were built AFTER the Egyptian ones.

I suppose it can be better explained by Migrants going to another country, building their infrastructure, spreading their beliefs, and then returning home to build similar.
You have the cluster around Abydos on both the Eastern and Western Nile Banks, and a great time scale, but burials seem paramount there, and more usual.

So could it be to a 20th century eye the Giza Plateau just automatically meant tombs ? History having been blended into a stream of -they did it there so it must be the same here- and the timeline all over the place,and a bit inconvenient ?
Arab explorers named them the King and Queen chambers from the height of the ceilings, much like we classify beds, so I think that caused a bit of a sidetrack for a while IMHO.
Maybe they were multi purpose ?
For myself I see the GP as a massive library/working academy of the Sciences and the Red Pyramid the Halls of Records/ Law and Population, a City Hall kind of arrangement. The former dedicated to Thoth and the latter to Isis.
I may be totally wrong about everything but I thought I would throw it out there.
