I was wondering if someone had a history or timeline of debates in this world of scholastic and academic discoveries about the ancient kingdoms of egypt and the lands they treated or warred with. Im sure at some point people who werent considered "egyptologists" also made their own scholastic and academic discoveries about these ancient kingdoms as well.
Has there ever been any kind of large scale gatherings where "outsiders" were also permitted into various archaeological discussions with actual "egyptologists"? Or has there ever been some kind of magazine or ongoing documentation that pursues such things as a collaborative effort?
