In this Google Earth mapping I have projected Giza on to Dahshur.
I shifted the longitude of Giza by 0.075515 degrees so that it agrees with that of Dahshur. This number was chosen so that the longitude of the two Khafre pyramids would move to the longitude of the Red pyramid of Sneferu.
Nothing strange there. But now we take the geocentric latitude of Giza and assign it as an angle to that of geodetic latitude. We are thus transported south to Dahshur. Did Sneferu, Khufu, Khafre, or even Menkaure know about this? Is this proof that the architects of the IV dynasty pyramids knew the exact shape and size of the Earth?
As one can see the position of the small cult pyramid of Khafre falls on the apex of the Red pyramid which was the largest and last pyramid erected by Sneferu.
