The Sumerian Cylinder Seals & Tablets are very fascinating for obvious reasons & my findings may cause a stir if i start posting them but i truly believe there is something new to learn from the iconography.
I was surprised to learn how small the cylinder seals & tablets are.
The artwork is first created on the cylinder seal which is then rolled (mirror like) onto the tablet same as our original modern day ink printing presses.
Below are pics of Innana the goddess of war & love.
Once mirrored, the new photos show the "love" & "war" like side of Innana much more clearly than in the original.
She looks almost mantis looking as a war goddess.
What i would love to learn, do the cuneiform symbols mean anything in the newly mirrored results.
