
I and other's have wondered, who and why this section at the top of the Grand Gallery was "repaired".
I look at the repair job, and see Historical damage. Most of us, could engineer better steps, and not damage/hide such a feature. I am not the first to mention this. The old picture on the left, may be the only picture of it's existence. It shows a V relief cut. In my opinion,


The Grand Gallery could never serve as a functional means of travel, for reaching higher areas of G1. Few believe the GG was for human traffic. Would it have even served to carry a dead King? What kind of Royal Procession would that be like?
Here are a series of pictures with a pit, which is deep enough to contain a Rope Lever. I am aware no drawings have ever been found inside the G1. I just got bored with the drab surfaces. The main theme of the drawing is it is to scale, and the rope angle is such, that it is in alignment with the V grove.
