I just discovered this: Is there a bend in the Menkaure causeway? All books and pictures describe a straight Menkaure causeway, including the books of Graham and Lehner's standard work The Complete Pyramids.
Look carefully. Compare the 2 black and white aerial photographs of Giza:

According to the facts so far, the causeway is (or was) straight. But this drawing also shows a dotted line, suggesting that the exact location of the second half of the causeway is unknown.

There were two "temples" at the end of the Menkaure causeway. Could it be there was a third one? Or could the second temple have been the original valley temple?
