I found this rock near one tree hill in Auckland, New Zealand. It is carved and I can see that it was once painted. The entire surface is covered in little designs they are tiny images that make up larger images and larger images again. There are lines of people walking like on a Hindu temple. I'm just posting a link to a few pictures that reveal some of the larger pictures and as they are not Maori, the people who did this are mysterious. Please have a good look and let me know what you see if you recognise anything. I believe it is Hindu influenced, there are animals also. It's a really great thing.
