The ONLY Cartouche. (30 replies)

This one Cartouche has been singled out as somehow being so different than ALL the other Khufu Cartouches found, and also so different from ALL the other Cartouches and Glyphs found in the Relieving Chambers; and has been described as a variant, an anomaly, (and of course, a forgery) despite its obvious similarities in both paint used, and style of writing to these other Glyphs, etc.....not to mention established provenance, etc.

Most of the Glyphs in Lady A's Chamber are inverted, which IS proof that these Glyphs were NOT painted in situ.....another relevant fact ignored by many here, and were, most likely, painted in the Quarry...hence the name, "Quarry Marks".

There are variations, exceptions, and exceptions to the exceptions, (EDIT TO ADD, dual meanings), etc. in ALL Languages-both spoken and written. This is esp. true in AE Hieroglyphs. and the debate continues on the meaning(s) of some symbols, etc....

English: Judgement can be properly spelled with, or without the 'e'. "Learnt" IS acceptable according to Webster. Spelling of Proper Names is another great example.

Ancient Egyptian: from the link, "........The Horus name of king Narmer, for example, ***was attested in 15 different spellings.*** The choice of a spelling, however, did not happen haphazardly in spite of the multiplicity of possibilities. Thus, the longer form of Narmer's name was especially reproduced on representative objects, but the shorter form ,,Nar" on more functional substrates....."

The Slurry Method: I viewed a TV Program where this was demonstrated successfully, BUT ONLY in horizontally sliding the stone block on the top of another....and it was very messy. Ask yourself, why would the AE have used this method in their placement of C's Chamber Roof Blocks, (RB)???

These RBs could been slid up the wall blocks, but what was used to hold up the plaster on the distance from the top edge of the Wall Block to the peak of the roof?

Also, why isn't there alot of evidence of plaster splatters all over the wall, or floor???...as mentioned, the Slurry method is very messy.

IF the Slurry Method was used here, then Vyse would've has to forge ALL the RB Glyphs in C's Chamber, did he?

Annoying fact o' the week: C's Chamber Roof Blocks ARE bare chiseled Tura Limestone, and there are 3 eye-witness accounts which attest to this fact, and these accounts, etc. have been posted here many times.

(My question remains: Who put the plaster in the joints of the RBs in C's Chamber?)
